The Ballarat Cup's place in November looks increasingly unlikely following a new draft spring plan revealed by racing.com this morning.

The industry website has seen the draft schedule prepared by Racing Victoria's Spring Racing Review Committee, which outlines a host of key changes to race dates.
The draft confirms the Melbourne Racing Club's desire to move its feature Caulfield Guineas and Caulfield Cup meetings into late November, which would then bump Ballarat Cup day from November 21 to December 5.

The draft, which if passed by Racing Victoria, would see 12 consecutive Saturdays of group 1 racing during the spring.
