Football Federation Australia chief executive James Johnson confirmed last week A-League clubs and Professional Footballers Australia have reached agreement to restart the season.
The plan is based on a hub approach which will allow for commercial and broadcast opportunities.
Johnson said It incorporates health protocols for players and officials and provides a schedule that will bring a constant stream of games over a 35-day program.
Western United played three games in Ballarat during the 2019-20 A-League season, and was scheduled to play a fourth before the season was put on hold following the outbreak of COVID-19.
Johnson said all parties had worked together extremely hard to ensure the professional game could resume.
