The monthly market will shift from its regular location on the shores of Lake Wendouree to Zoo Drive to ensure stalls are spaced an appropriate distance.
Ballarat Farmers' Market organiser Steve Burns announced the plan to relaunch the market on Tuesday.
He said market management had worked with City of Ballarat staff to develop a COVID-19 management plan.
"We are excited to be returning. It was frustrating to see markets in Melbourne operating right through the lockdown," Mr Burns said.
"Some other local markets have started back in recent weeks and we're just glad to be back."
Mr Burns said he had been contacted frequently during the market's closure by people keen for it to return.
He said more than 5000 people joined the Facebook page We Love Ballarat Regional Produce that was started to connect stallholders to customers during the market's closure, showing demand from customers for local produce.
"We've had loads of calls and social media posts about when we are returning, so it's great to finally be able to give people a date," Mr Burns said.
All markets held on City of Ballarat land were cancelled in March when activity at council facilities was shut down in response to the coronavirus pandemic.
Mr Burns said stallholders would be asking customers to be patient with new procedures that will be in place when the market returns.
The changes include no product handling prior to purchase, cashless trading preferred, no product samples and only one customer per server at each stall.
Busking and the market raffle have also been suspended to reduce the number of gathering points during the market.
Ballarat Farmers' Market operates on the second Saturday of each month, from 9am to 1pm.
Creswick Farmers' Market re-launched with a weekly model in May, Ballan Farmers' Market re-launched on June 15 and the Bridge Mall Farmers' Market announced last week it would return on July 4.
