Football Victoria will push on with its intention to resume play this month, despite a number of Melbourne suburbs reentering COVID-19 lockdown.

However, players who reside in impacted suburbs will not be able to play or train while restrictions are in place.
While the measures won't effect any Ballarat clubs, Ballarat City FC, Ballarat Soccer Club and the Sebastopol Vikings all play against teams likely to be impacted.
St Albans Saints SC, Craigieburn City FC and Keilor Park are among clubs located within areas that have had stage three restrictions reimposed.
All three played against Ballarat clubs during the 2019 season.
In a statement, Football Victoria expressed sympathies for those unable to play and train at this time.
"We understand that some will disagree with the decision and would prefer the entire football season be cancelled. We respect this view; and we also respect the right of clubs and to make their own choices," it read.
