The BRAC members are part of the Athletics Victoria high performance track and field target talent pathway program.
It is aligned with the Athletics Australia high performance department and has been established to encourage the best young athletes in the state, and develop and nurture coaches from across the state.
Ballarat's world class javelin thrower and Commonwealth Games gold medallist Kathryn Mitchell is part of the program's coaching panel.
Open to athletes born in 2001, 2003, 2004 or 2005, the squad is scheduled to take part in training sessions through to February next year. This timeframe might be extended owing to the impact of COVID-19 restrictions.
