The Clayton Tonkin-trained star looked to be going in second gear, but his 53.4-second last half mile was the quickest ever recorded at the venue over the 1710m journey.
He smashed the previous best of 53.9sec clocked by Wrappers Delight in a heat of the Inter Dominion.
Ride High's third quarter of 26.9sec was also the quickest ever at Ballarat over the sprint trip.
"To be a small part of his journey is incredible and he just does it in second gear, that's the scary part. It's like he's out on just a little jog trip," driver Kima Frenning said post-race.
"Obviously it's a thrill to break records and stuff, but I think there's not really a need at this point to really, really open him up. Which is pretty scary that we've never done that."
Ride High won his 13th race - from only 14 starts - by 13.5m in a mile rate of 1:53:6min.
Tonkin said the horse had pulled up terrific when speaking shortly after the run.
"It wasn't a real hard night out for him, but it's quite cold here tonight and the track seems like it has got a bit of sand on it," he said.
"We'll give him a race every couple of weeks.
"I really want to take him up to Menangle for a trip away, but with the borders closed and having to go into isolation for two weeks if you go across, it's just going to be a big ordeal to get him there. We will just have to sit and see what happens with the way everything goes."
