The volunteer organisation ran a 14 week webinar series from April to early July to provide practical advice and support during a time of uncertainty.
The webinars were presented by experts and community leaders in Ballarat on topics including mental health tools, managing finances, social media, sleep, nutrition for immunity and spiritual care.
Compassionate Ballarat steering group member Dr Mary Hollick said the series was a gift from Compassionate Ballarat to the City of Ballarat in helping people find ways they can support themselves and support others through this period.
"I think the series has shown the different perspectives and the varying ways in which we can tap into our needs and our strengths and support ourselves, particularly through nutrition, the soothing qualities of music and how that can take you to a different space," she said.
Dealing with uncertainty is always difficult. We need to help ourselves in doing that and I hope in these webinars people felt supported.
- Dr Lynne Reeder, Compassionate Ballarat
Compassionate Ballarat steering group member and series host Dr Lynne Reeder said it was an unusual time to deal with physical separation and uncertainty.
"Dealing with uncertainty is always difficult. We need to help ourselves in doing that and I hope in these webinars people felt supported," she said.
Recordings of the 14 webinars have now been uploaded to the Compassionate Ballarat website.
The Compassionate Ballarat team is working on creating shortened versions of the presentations to put onto a CD for distribution in the community.
The Buninyong District Community Bank helped fund the series and the creation of the CD.
