Two people have been transported to hospital following a two-car crash in Sebastopol earlier this afternoon. Firefighters, police and paramedics were called to the intersection of Birdwood Avenue and Edwards Street about 2.45pm. While early reports were that a person was trapped, rescue crews were later cancelled. Following the collision, one of the vehicles crashed into a tree. Fuel also leaked on to the road. Paramedics treated those involved at the scene. A woman, believed to be in her 20s, was treated for a chest and leg injury. A man, also believed to be in his 20s, was treated for a shoulder injury. Both patients were taken to St John of God Ballarat Hospital in a stable condition.
