While the Latrobe Street butcher will remain closed for at least another week so staff can complete a period of self-isolation, and eventually a second negative test, the premises has been deep-cleaned by a Ballarat firm.
The store closed immediately after hearing from doctors regarding the positive case on Friday morning.

Head butcher Simon Hutton said all close contacts had tested negative and were in isolation, and the business was working with the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services.
Workers have been given permission to access the premises, and all close contacts are also self-isolating.
The case was noted on the latest round of DHHS statistics.
On Monday, no new active cases were recorded in Ballarat.
There are currently 17 active cases in the city, a drop of one from Sunday, and a cumulative count of 39 cases.
Moorabool fell from 13 active cases down to 12, while Golden Plains dropped from 13 to 11.
Pyrenees remains steady on two active cases, while Hepburn Shire doesn't have any.
Remember to maintain good hand hygiene, wear a mask when in public, and keep a 1.5 metre distance from others at all times.
Right now there are only four reasons to leave your home in Ballarat during stage three restrictions: care and caregiving, local exercise, shopping for necessary items, and for work or study if you are unable to do so from home.
Victoria Police are enforcing restrictions, and penalties apply.
Anyone with the slightest symptoms is urged to get a test immediately, and must self-isolate until results come back - phone 4311 1571 to make an appointment.
