Maybe you have a keen eye for the justice system and following cases from beginning to end?
Well, we have just the thing for you.
The Courier has launched a new Facebook group that will shine the light on our justice system.
The Courier Courts and Crime group was launched this week and is waiting for you to join.
Some may be wondering why we've launched a dedicated page for our coverage of court and crime throughout Ballarat.
It's simple: you.
We've learned over the years that our readers can't get enough of crime stories - they are our most read stories on our website and on The Courier's main Facebook page.
They are the stories that are happening in your streets and suburbs.
You want to know about them and we want to bring them to you.
However, particularly in the matter of court cases, we have certain important legal restrictions we must abide by.
It is for this very reason that you will discover that the comments have been disabled on this page for most of our court stories.
As much as we love your interaction with our stories and greatly support it, there are simply too many legal risks associated with enabling comments on these types of stories.
It won't be the same for every case - sometimes you'll be able to comment, tag friends and share stories, but that won't be the norm.
The majority of our crime stories will allow for comments and we encourage you to participate in the online discussion, always with respect and dignity to your fellow readers of course.
Have you signed up to The Courier's variety of news emails? You can register below and make sure you are up to date with everything that's happening in Ballarat.
