The winner of the group 3 feature will be exempt from a Caulfield Cup ballot.
Al Galayel put his spring well and truly on track by taking out the Neds Price Boost Handicap, 2000m, at Caulfield on Saturday.
Eustace said they felt Al Galayel had an edge in fitness over the majority of his rivals which were resuming from spells.
"He's just in a really good vein of form. Ben (Melham) knows him really well and that swooping run really suits him," Eustace said.
"He just had to stick it out late because he was asked for a good effort."
Al Galayel ($6) edged out Orderofthegarter ($3 favourite) by a long head, with Schabau ($4.60) third.
It was the seven-year-old's fifth run this preparation and followed a win at Moonee Valley.
Al Galayel completed a winning double for Maher and Eustace, who also had success with emerging stayer Persan in the Neds Same Race Multi Handicap, 2400m.
Persan has won four of his past five starts.
"That was quite impressive," Eustace said.
"He's got a rating to allow him to go through the grades. We'll give him the opportunity to run in a nice race."
Eustace said they would look at the Ansett Classic, 2400m, at Mornington on September 27 or The Bart Cummings, 2500m, at Flemington on October 3.
Al Galayel and Persan are each nominated for the Caulfield and Melbourne Cups.
