A teenager felt like a hostage when a 46-year-old man locked her inside his house, telling the frightened girl he would not let her out until she had sex with him.

The County Court of Victoria was told on Wednesday the 14-year-old girl and her 16-year-old friend attended Warren John Carter's Ballarat North house on March 13 and stayed into the night and early the following morning.
Crown prosecutor Stephen Devlin said Carter and the 14-year-old became affectionate with each other.
But he said in the early hours of the morning, Carter became angry and demanded the girl have sex with him. Carter dragged her into his bedroom and tried to pull down her pants.
Mr Devlin said Carter then told the girl, "I need a f*** and you're not leaving this room until you have sex with me".
The girl later made a statement to police saying she felt like a hostage.
Mr Devlin said the pair argued while in the bedroom before Carter swung a punch at the girl and picked up a screwdriver and lunged at her but did not make contact.
Carter then started to smash items in the room and barricaded the door to stop the victim from leaving. Another man at the address tried to open the door to remove Carter from the doorway.
Mr Devlin said the 16-year-old girl had an opportunity to leave the house but she didn't want to leave her friend. He said Carter locked the front and back doors which caused the girls to feel petrified.
Carter then demanded they hand over their mobile phones.
"These acts prevented them from leaving the premises," Mr Devlin said.
He said Carter told the other man he would shoot him and gut him like a pig before Carter forced him out of the house. The man then phoned the police.
Carter told the girls to go to the back of the house, although when police questioned him, he did not disclose the victims were in his house.
When police arrived, they located the girls at the back of the house in a distressed state.
Carter was arrested five days later on March 18 when police executed a search warrant at his house.
Mr Devlin said police discovered a small number of images of the 14-year-old girl on Carter's mobile phone which were classified as child abuse material.
The 16-year-old girl's statement was read to the court on Wednesday. She said since the incident, she felt very anxious and unsafe whenever she left her house.
The girl said she stopped talking to her friends, felt uncomfortable around older men and woke screaming from nightmares.
"Some days I get emotional about things which has a massive impact on me and the people around me," the girl said.
"I also have PTSD which has a huge impact on me and my lifestyle."
The 14-year-old girl and the other man at the house did not provide victim impact statements.
The court was told Carter was on a community corrections order at the time and was sentenced to prison in mid-last year for an aggravated assault to a female.
Defence barrister Daniel Sala said Carter suffered traumatic abuse after he was placed into state care about age 11.
He said Carter developed an alcohol addiction when he was placed into the care of an alcoholic at age 12, and later in life he started using heroin and amphetamines when he started a relationship with a woman who he had two children with.
Mr Sala said Carter and all parties on the night of March 13 were under the influence of amphetamines but he would further address the offending after Carter underwent a neuropsychological assessment.
Carter was remanded in custody until December 7 for a further plea hearing where further material will be tendered to the court.
He pleaded guilty to four charges, including assault, making a threat to inflict serious injury, possessing child abuse material and two counts of false imprisonment.
Carter faces a mandatory eight years of reporting on the sex offenders register. He appeared by a video link for Wednesday's plea hearing before Judge David Sexton.
