All four will have their hair cut to donate to children's charity Variety to make wigs for cancer survivors. This is the second time they have donated a sizable cut to help others but it is the first time they are combining to help make their efforts go further for a Ballarat charity.
Coincidentally, their trip to the hairdresser on Saturday is also World Hospice and Palliative Care Day - a fact they did not realise when setting out to make plans.
Sugaa has cut her hair to help Variety before but at the time did not realise she could also use it as a chance to fundraise for another charity. When ready for another chop, Sugaa put the call out on her Facebook page for friends to suggest a good charity.
One friend suggested Hospice, which offers home-based palliative care support, equipment and counselling to the Ballarat region. A few more friends agreed and, in connecting with Hospice, the not-for-profit felt the right fit for Sugaa's efforts.
Already, Sugaa has exceeded her $500 goal fundraising target, amassing $735 as of Thursday afternoon.
Husband Neil Para said Sugaa was so happy with the result and community support.

Ballarat Hospice Care moved into its new multi-million dollar, purpose-built facilities in Sturt Street mid-last year. The lotus-like structure was built with a $1 million community fundraising program and $6.2 million in state government funding to meet increasing community demands and needs.
