The Roosters were only one win short of a flag two years ago, but found themselves near the bottom of the ladder last season after losing of a handful of key players.
With a slew of new faces added for the 2020-21 campaign, head coach Darren Wilson was hopeful the club's cellar-dwelling days would be short lived.
"We had four or five players from the grand final side not play last year and I like to think those positions have been filled," he said.

All-rounder Jonah Healy headlined the new recruits for North. The former Napoleon-Sebastopol player will likely feature heavily at the top of the Roosters' batting order.
He will play alongside fellow newcomer Vikrant Dabra, who joined the club from West Bentleigh in Melbourne. The Indian all-rounder will enter the side as a top order bat and off-spin bowler.
Wilson said he would likely be a lock for round one.
"He has one of those classic Indian bowling actions," he said.
Maryborough native Liam Radlof will make his debut after making the jump from MKM Cricket Club, while Dylan Achison has been added as well.
Meanwhile club veteran Adam Eddy has returned after sitting last season out. Eddy, an opening left arm bowler, is a former captain and coach of the club and has represented Ballarat at Melbourne Country Week.
Wilson said he was a valuable addition.
"We could potentially have five new players in our first eleven team," Wilson said.
"We'll be a lot different."
Mick Nolan will resume captaincy for the upcoming season after taking over from Leigh Lorenzen midway through the 2019-20 campaign.
