After a long break due to increased COVID-19 restrictions, Ballarat Netball Association junior matches were finally underway on Monday afternoon.
It was the 13/under division that was in action, with teams resuming after the initial three rounds were played earlier this year.
Monday's games on the outdoor courts were the start of a big week for the association.
A new 18/under competition will kick off Tuesday afternoon before 11/under and 15/under divisions resume on Thursday.
In total, about 60 teams will hit the courts.
Community sport in regional Victoria has been able to resume in recent weeks after the state government eased COVID-19 restrictions.
Late last month, ANZ Championship player Sarah Wall helped young players warm up for the resumption of netball with some training sessions in Ballarat.
