And he's spoken about his excitement at the confirmation the 2021 AusCycling Federation University Road National Championships will go ahead in this region during February next year.
The titles have been locked in for February 3-7, which is one month later than usual.
The 2021 schedule will mirror the successful format seen in 2020, which saw the championships open on Wednesday night with the time trial at Federation University's Mt Helen campus. The Friday night criterium will then light up the streets of the Ballarat CBD and kick-start an exciting weekend of road racing on the iconic Mt Buninyong circuit.

"The schedule is all the same but just a month later," White said.
"I'm very excited about it. It's good to finally have a date and a goal to focus on.
"It's good that it's confirmed and I can focus on that now."
AusCycling has been working closely with the Department of Health and Human Services and the City of Ballarat to ensure that the championships will be conducted in a COVID-safe environment.
"Whatever the protocols are or whatever the crowd restrictions are, it is what it is," White said.
"If we can race then that's the most important thing."
Across the five-day carnival, Australia's finest elite, para, under-23, under-19 and amateur riders will battle it out for the green and gold jerseys.
White hasn't raced competitively out on the road since March when in Taiwan and is now looking forward to hitting the bike for real again in Sydney late next week.
He is interstate preparing for the National Road Series with Team Bridgelane.
"The team has flown me up and two teammates to do hotel quarantine in Sydney," White, a past under-23 men's road champion, said.
"...there's just over a week left. Then we get out, have a few local races around Sydney to sharpen up and get some racing back in the legs."
