Police have confirmed they are investigating a fire which broke out on Mount Warrenheip on Tuesday evening.

A Victoria Police spokesperson said the cause is currently unknown, and is being treated as suspicious.
"Moorabool Crime Investigation Unit will investigate following a small grass fire at Mt Warrenheip," they said in a statement.
"Investigators have been told the fire occurred just off Mt Warrenheip Road just prior to 8pm."
Enquiries to the CFA were referred to DELWP regarding what took place during the incident.
In a statement, Forest Fire Management Victoria's deputy chief fire officer for the Grampians region, Tony English, said the fire burnt about a 20 by 20 metre area of grass and silver tussock before being extinguished by fire crews.
"The fire was well blacked out and had a mineral earth break raked around its perimeter," he said.
"Victoria Police fire investigators attended the scene"
