He said the touted $6.7 million investment in a National Centre for Photography would likely open a whole new world of inspiration for those who love the camera, whether as a career or hobby.

The centre, which The Courier revealed last Monday, will feature in this week's state budget.
"I believe the National Centre of Photography coming to Ballarat will prove greatly beneficial for emerging photographers and creators alike," Mr Towk said. "Along with creating great pathways for younger generations to develop there skills and make a start in the professional world."
Mr Towk started out with a Go-Pro, taking videos and pictures, wherever possible before picking up his mum's Canon EOS 1100d - he was quickly captured by photography.
You can see inspiration from Melbourne-based creators like Hayden Pedersen in Mr Towk's work but he also likes to play with his own ideas and variations on reality.
MORE SHOUT 2020:
Mr Towk has been interested in a career in the army and thinks defence force photography might be the best of both worlds.
"At this point in time I'd love to have a career in photography, however, the simple fact is that the market in Australia is somewhat minimal in a commercial sense," Mr Towk said.
"Another path I have considered is a career as a photographer within the army, since I was quite young I have always looked at the army as 'that's what I want to do', therefore a photographer within the defence force would supplement the best of both worlds."
