Cricket Victoria updated participants on Monday following Sunday's announcement from the state government regarding the further easing of COVID-19 restrictions.
It stated that when on-field, masks need to be in the pockets of players and umpires and when off-field, are only required to be worn (by those over 12) when inside or when unable to maintain a social distance of 1.5m. For example, this is when seated waiting to bat in a coaching box.
A range of other updates to cricket protocols were made, including the ability to now train in groups of up to 50 people.
Meanwhile, indoor centres can also open for practice sessions and matches.
