Burras A-grade netball coach Gary Cooke confirmed on Wednesday that Fowler, who missed playing in the team's premiership in 2019 due to pregnancy, was keen to go again in the hope of making it back-to-back flags.
There had been some concern that she would leave Hepburn and join Jack at Maldon after he lodged a clearance alongside teammate Tommy Horne for next season. However, Cooke said he had spoken with the 30-year-old netballer and she'd committed to another year in the red and blue.
Cooke said Fowler was only ever seen on court for the early part of the 2019 season, but had shown her class.
"She was pregnant just before the season started so we got six weeks out of her and she didn't play for the rest of the season," he said.
"She was there every week encouraging the girls and obviously someone with that kind of experience, you want to make the most of her knowledge.
"She wants to come back because she really enjoyed it, she loved all the girls and she stood on the sidelines and watched them win a grand final that she really wanted to be part of.
"She wants to come back and have one more run with them.
"She's a goal keeper, goal defender and she can play wing defence but she's just insanely athletic."
Fowler, nee Themann, was born in Shepparton, but eventually went on to represent Scotland given her father's Scottish background. She played for the country at the 2014 and 2018 Commonwealth Games and also at the 2015 World Cup.
Hepburn recruited Fowler, who has also represented Australia at junior level, after her time with Super Netball side Adelaide Thunderbirds came to an end after the 2018 campaign.
She also spent time with the Melbourne Phoenix early in her career.
Fowler's husband played just the one season for the Burras in 2019 after arriving there following a premiership with Loddon Valley league club Newbridge. He played largely in defence, with his 14 senior matches including an appearance in the team's losing grand final against Waubra at Mars Stadium.
After leading the team to a flag in 2019 and missing 2020 due to COVID-19, Cooke has committed to another season as coach of the Hepburn A-grade side next year.
The Burras defeated Springbank in last season's decider by three goals, winning 44-41.
