Police have confirmed a 47-year-old Wendouree man has been charged with possessing methylamphetamine and an imitation firearm after an incident in Mitchell Park on Sunday afternoon.
He was bailed to appear at Ballarat Magistrates' Court on 14 May 14.
PREVIOUSLY:
A man with a suspected firearm has been arrested in Mitchell Park on Sunday afternoon.
Ballarat police officers were called to an industrial premises on Ring Road about 1.10pm, the Victoria Police media unit confirmed to The Courier.
The man, wearing overalls and a hairnet, was arrested without incident.
He remains in custody and is assisting police with their inquiries.
The man's employer was contacted for comment.
