The Courier revealed in December 2019 that the BTC had been exploring options to construct an Australian-first undercover training track. The multi-million dollar facility would be based on a state-of-the-art design used at Japan's Northern Farm.
BTC chief executive Belinda Glass said the club was still "very keen" to pursue the option of a new uphill training track facility.
"Whether that be an undercover uphill woodchip track like observed by staff during a visit to Japan in 2019 or something to replicate sand dunes, we hope to capitalise on the unique asset that is Mt Pisgah within our grounds," Glass said.
"Industry capital funding submissions are due in early December and BTC will continue to pursue opportunities for some seed funding to enable a design/planning phase with some engineering specs and drawings being prepared to allow a tender process."

The club already has the popular uphill synthetic track, which has become a showpiece of the training centre in recent years.
Glass is also looking forward to the completion of a new on-course stable complex, which will be home to McEvoy Mitchell Racing.
"With the arrival of the McEvoy Mitchell Racing team in January 2021, BTC continues to focus on the upgrade of facilities to cater for the growing number of horses," she said.
