The group opened the summer at the 2020 Bay Sheffield Footrace last weekend. It recorded four finals appearances and two placings at the meet, which is considered the second biggest running event in Australia.
While a lack of preparation time impacted form, head coach Peter O'Dwyer said he was satisfied with the performances.
"We thought we might have got a few more into some finals had we got more preparation time," he said.
"Given the interruptions and lack of structure throughout the season, we were reasonably happy."
Grace O'Dwyer finished third in the 70-metre sprint, while Pat Martin claimed third place in the 550-metre event.
Tiana Shillitois and Halle Martin made semi-final appearances in the 120-metre women's Gift, while Hugh Hoffman, Martin and Lincoln Barnes made the semi-final in the men's.
"They are young, up and coming guys and it was good experience for them," O'Dwyer said.
The Pod Squad will now turn its sights towards the Geelong Gift this weekend. It will then head to Wangaratta before gearing up for the Ballarat Gift on February 13-14.
"Geelong is not a big one but it's a nice one to go to. It will be a good hit out," O'Dwyer said.
