The Vics remain in third place on the ladder after the weekend's triumph over Ballarat, which it defeated by three shots overall.
A strong 23-13 rink success from Brett Harrison, Marc Oswin, Sunni Haynes and Shaun Clark was a major reason behind the triumph, with Noel Verlinden also skippering Victoria to a one-shot victory.
Skipper Greg Brown secured Ballarat's only rink win, but it wasn't enough as the home side held strong for a 55-52 result.
Victoria is now locked together with second-placed Sebastopol on 76 points.
Elsewhere on Saturday afternoon, Ballarat Memorial Sports extended its winning streak to seven games with a big success over Linton.
BMS now holds a 24-point lead on the rest of the competition at the half-way mark of the home and away season. Just seven rounds of matches remain until finals get underway in mid-March.
The Kookaburras got the share of the points in their battle with Webbcona on Saturday, winning 60-57.
Ian Warner and Murray Gannon both skippered rink wins for the reigning premiers, while Barry McArthur's team won by eight shots to pick up two points for Webbcona.
In Saturday's other showdowns, Creswick was too good for Buninyong and Learmonth did it easily in the game against Mt Xavier.
The victory was a big one for the Wickers, which have closed the gap on the top four from 15 points to just three.
