A number of people have been taken to hospital after three separate accidents on Wednesday morning.

The first incident occurred at the corner of Drummond Street and Eyre Street in Ballarat Central about 6am.
According to police, a driver was travelling east along Eyre Street when when they came to the intersection on Drummond Street.
While they slowed to a stop at Drummond Street, the driver then proceeded through the intersection where they clipped the back of a cyclist who had been travelling north.
A woman was taken to Ballarat Base Hospital in a stable condition with facial injuries, with the police investigation into the incident ongoing.

Then, just after 7am, there was another incident near the corner of Finchs Road and Greenhalghs Road at Bunkers Hill.
A car had approached the intersection with Greenhalghs Road. While faced with a give way sign, they failed to do so and struck another vehicle travelling west on Greenhalghs Road.
Following the collision, two men were taken to hospital in what is believed to be a stable condition. One man was taken to St John of God Hospital and the other to Ballarat Base Hospital.
Police issued a penalty notice for failing to give way to the offending driver.
Finally, around 7.50am, there was another incident where another cyclist was struck by a car at Bakery Hill.
The cyclist had been travelling west along Eastwood Street when they came to the roundabout at Humffray Street.
A vehicle travelling north on Humffray Street almost came to a stop. Police said the driver checked for traffic on the right however due to the glare of the sun they proceeded through the roundabout where they collided with a cyclist.
The cyclist was taken to Ballarat Base Hospital.
Ballarat Sergeant David Berry urged people to take care on the roads and observe the road rules.
He asked people to take particular care at intersections and roundabouts and to be mindful of the law.
