Patrolling Ballarat police had observed a blue Renault Wagon travelling on Bridge Street towards Sebastopol around 7pm when it suddenly lost control.
The wagon then rolled a number of times before it came to rest against a fence.
The male driver then allegedly jumped out of the car and fled the scene- running north into the nearby pine plantation.
Enquiries are ongoing as to his location.
The two other occupants, an 18-year-old Brown Hill man and a 26-year-old Delacombe man, were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
A police spokesperson said these two males were assisting police with their enquiries.
