Ruckman Toby Thoolen was one of the most influential players in Sebastopol's march into the 2019 Ballarat Football League grand final.
He was selected in the BFL team of the year.
A late recruit in that year, Thoolen is relocating from Melbourne to his hometown Swan Hill.
Sebastopol football manager Shawne Dummett said Thoolen's original plan was to play for two season, but COVID-19 had had a say in that.
Luke Kiel, who is also originally from Swan Hill, played a major role in getting Thoolen to the Burra.
Thoolen was drafted by Coillingwood in 2007 and played with North Ballarat in the VFL in 2017.

While his departure leaves big boots to fill, but Dummett said Sebastopol was looking forward to having former North Ballarat Roosters ruckman Nick Hausler back in action.
Hausler from Koroit joined the Burra in 2018 after a short time with the Roosters and games Redan.
He played 15 games in 2018, but injury limited him to five in 2019.
In a huge bonus, Sebastopol has regained the services of mobile ruckman James Richards.
He left to play with East Warrnambool in the Warrnambool District Football League at the end of 2018.
Originally from Horsham, Richards signed with Sebastopol in 2015.
