It enters the tournament with the seventh seed and will come up against 10th seeded University of Miami in the first round on Friday at 10am AEDT.
If successful, the side will face the second seeded North Carolina State University on Saturday at 10am in a quarter final.
A semi final and the championship game awaits Amoore and her teammates if they can win through their opening two games.
The tournament concludes on Monday with the championship decider, which kicks off at 4am AEDT.
The ACC is one of the most famous college conferences in division one of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), with well known schools such as North Carolina, Duke, Notre Dame, Syracuse and Miami, just to name a few, competing in it.
Virginia Tech will be aiming for its first championship game appearance and win since its first tournament in 2005.
Amoore has been in great form in her freshman season against some stellar competition. She has already been named the ACC freshman of the week on February 15.
Starting on the court in 19 of the side's 21 games so far, the point guard is averaging 11.2 points and nearly five assists per game while shooting 41.6 percent from the three-point line.
Impressively, she sits 32nd in three-point percentage in the NCAA and is one of only six freshmen to crack the top 50.
This percentage would also leave her just outside the top 10 in this category in the WNBA going off last seasons averages.
She scored 23 points against Notre Dame earlier this season, her season high to date.
She hit five three-pointers in the same game, a feat she has achieved twice so far this season.
Amoore's regular contributions to the Hokies this season has helped them to a 13-8 overall record and an 8-8 record in the ACC.
She is coming off a 22 point, five assist and five rebound game in her side's 68-63 loss to North Carolina.
She was 4-8 from the three-point line and remarkably played all 40 minutes of game time while only committing three turnovers.
Amoore previously played for the Ballarat Rush in the NBL1 during the 2019 season.
