Ballarat has frozen through it's coldest night of the year so far - and by some margin.
Despite the temperature only forecast to drop to a minimum of 1 degree overnight, the mercury fell as low as -1.5 at 6.10am.
The 'feels' like temperature even dropped as low as -5 degrees.
Before today the coldest night of the year was a much warmer 3.9 degrees.
Black ice warning lights have been activated at Gordon and Daylesford, where black ice is known to form.
The remainder of the day is expected to be rather pleasant, if not still a bit on the cool side.
A maximum of 13 degrees is forecast, although it will be sunny for the most of the day.
And if this morning's icy start was a little too much for you then don't worry, we won't be seeing another night that cold for at least a while yet.
