Nicholas Lee, 32, appeared via video link from custody at the Ballarat Magistrates' Court on Monday.
Charge sheets obtained by The Courier reveal Lee allegedly stole a car from Creswick on April 5 and a car from Ballarat North on April 7, and drove while disqualified.
Police allege he continued to drive on April 7 in Ballarat North knowing he had been given a direction to stop by a police officer.
He is charged with stealing a car from Bullarook between April 7 and 9, stealing a car from Sebastopol on April 25 and handling stolen number plates.
He allegedly continued to drive while disqualified and stole another car from Bundoora on May 2 before he was arrested.
Lee's defence lawyer requested a short adjournment of the case on Monday because she had not been able to speak to him.
Lee will return to court in June.
