A man charged with sexual offences against a child under the age of 16 in Ballarat has pleaded guilty in the County Court.

Obiyo Chigozie Nwigwe, 44, appeared via video link to the County Court of Victoria on Monday morning for an arraignment hearing.
He entered pleas of guilty to four charges of sexual penetration of a child under 16 and one charge of using a carriage service to transmit indecent material to a child under 16.
The individual charges were read to the court and Nwigwe said 'I plead guilty Your Honour' to each charge.

He admitted to intentionally taking part in an act of having the child perform oral sex on him at Alfredton on March 4, 2020.
Charge two states Nwigwe at Alfredton and other places in Victoria between March 5 and March 31, 2020 used a carriage service to transmit indecent material to the same girl.
He is also charged with intentionally taking part in an act of sexual penetration by engaging in oral sex with the same girl on March 9, 2020 at Alfredton.
Charge four is a rolled up charge involving four separate incidents.
On March 14, 202, charge sheets state Nwigwe then took part in an further acts act of sexual penetration including digital and penile rape of the same girl in Alfredton.
Charge five is a rolled up charge involving three incidents.
Further charges of rape relate to an incident in Alfredton on March 19, 2020.
The court heard Nwigwe is also facing other charges in the Magistrates' Court.
Nwigwe will remain on bail and will return to the County Court in Ballarat in June for the plea hearing.
