The abandonment of two rounds also means some clubs now face a slightly easier schedule, while others may face a tougher road.
Newlyn is well off. The Cats miss games with Hepburn and Rokewood-Corindhap and now look forward to facing Creswick, Ballan and Clunes.
They're all winnable games that could get Newlyn's 0-5 start back on track to 3-5.
Skipton can feel a bit hard done by, winnable opportunities against Ballan and Clunes taken away from it.
The Emus now have to switch their attention to Learmonth, who are undefeated at 4-0 and third on the ladder, before having another week off with the bye in round 10.
Speaking of Learmonth, it hasn't played a game in five weeks.
Its last game was May 8 against Clunes, since then having two straight byes (one thanks to Daylesford not fielding an A Grade side) and three weeks off due to lockdown and restrictions.
The Lakies missed out on games they would expect to win against Carngham-Linton and Waubra and now look forward to Skipton in round nine.
The winless Bungaree missed very winnable fixtures against Creswick and Ballan.
It does face Clunes in round nine, also winnable, but then travels to Learmonth in round 10 before the bye in round 11.
Beaufort has escaped half of its tough draw scheduled for rounds seven to 12, avoiding second placed Buninyong and risers Gordon.
It does still face Dunnstown next, no easy beats, before clashes against Hepburn and Rokewood-Corindhap.
Waubra and Carngham-Linton may be the most affected by the fixture. They'll have the bye in round nine, adding another week to their lay off from play.
