The Road Nationals will be held one week later than usual, from January 12-16. Traditionally the Road Nationals are held in the first week of January.
This year, the COVID-19 pandemic saw the event moved to February, however AusCyling has confirmed a return to the January and school holidays time slot.
AusCycling has locked in all of its major dates for the 2021-22 season which includes the mountain bike, track and road events.
Ballarat's road nationals will see elite, under 23, J19, para-cycling, club and gran fondo events spread across five days.
Despite the event being held later in the year, and crowd numbers spread across the course, this year's event was a huge success for Ballarat and nearby regions including Buninyong.
Junior and masters road nationals will be held in Wollongong from September 12-16
The track championships will be spread across the country with the elite Madison to be held on Melbourne on December 11.
Brisbane will host the junior track event from March 24-27, the elite, J19 and para from March 26-30 and the masters from April 11-14.
Tasmania will host its first BMX National Championships since 2002 and the first time in over 25 years that the national championships will take place in Launceston.
It is hoped the BMX Freestyle will be able to be held in Melbourne on December 10 and 11.
AusCycling's chief executive Marne Fechner said she was pleased to be able to lock in events after the last 18 months of uncertainty around sport in the country.
"We are pleased to be announcing the majority of dates and locations for the 2022 national championships, with five disciplines across five different states, with more announcements still to come," she said.
"In what continues to be uncertain times, we'd like to thank the many stakeholders and government partners for their help in making these events possible."
