With some educated guesses on game outcomes, a top four and top eight can be decided upon.
However, as has been seen all season, upsets, injuries, weather and form slumps occur and affect teams differently.
With many of the sides currently sitting fifth to 11th playing each other in the next month, it looms as an entertaining run home.
GORDON
9 wins, 0 losses, 100.00 per cent games won
Missed a clash against Clunes in round 13.
A lot would need to go wrong for Gordon not to claim the minor premiership.
As long as the Eagles can get through the final four weeks relatively injury free, they will go into the finals as good a chance as any other side to win the premiership.
Run home: Learmonth (a), Daylesford (h), Carngham-Linton (a), Waubra (h).
HEPBURN
7 wins, 1 loss, 1 draw, 83.33 per cent games won
Missed a clash against Rokewood-Corindhap at home in round 13. It would have been a great test for Hepburn, one co-coach Jason Olver told The Courier his side was excited for.
It does, however, help the Burra seemingly lock away a top two finish with a nice run home to come, unless the unthinkable happens.
Run home: Creswick (a), Ballan (h), Clunes (a), Learmonth (h).
ROKEWOOD-CORINDHAP
7 wins, 3 losses, 70.00 per cent games won
Missed a clash against Hepburn in round 13, no doubt a game it wanted to test itself in, but ultimately missing it helps the Grasshoppers' top four hopes.
When Rokewood-Corindhap plays its style of game, it's a hard side to beat. If the Grasshoppers can do so, a top four spot awaits them.
Any lapses could open the door for some of the sides lurking just below them on the ladder.
Run home: Bye, Creswick (h), Ballan (a), Clunes (h).
DUNNSTOWN
7 wins, 3 losses, 70.00 per cent games won
Missed a clash against Ballan in round 13.
Dunnstown has grown with confidence as the season has gone on, picking up some vital wins against sides many considered it to be underdog's against, to now sit inside the top four.
The Towners now need to finish off strongly against teams it should expect to beat based on ladder positions. Three wins in this stretch locks up a double chance.
Run home: Clunes (a), Learmonth (a), Daylesford (a), Carngham-Linton (h).
SKIPTON
7 wins, 3 losses, 70.00 per cent games won
Missed the bye in round 13. The final four games should be a great test of Skipton's legitimacy as a contender.
The Emus could win all four and should win at least three based on their good recent form.
The top four could beckon for them if they play well, an important finish considering the evenness of the competition this season.
Run home: Bungaree (h), Springbank (a), Newlyn (h), Buninyong (a).
WAUBRA
6 wins, 3 losses, 66.67 per cent games won
Missed a clash away from home against Bungaree in round 13.
As is the case with Skipton, Waubra's best could see it win all four games to finish.
With some injured players back, it should at least split them and make the finals. Three to four wins opens the top four door and puts pressure on Rokewood-Corindhap and Dunnstown to continue winning.
Run home: Springbank (h), Newlyn (a), Buninyong (h), Gordon (a).
BUNINYONG
6 wins, 3 losses, 66.67 per cent games won
Missed a clash against Learmonth at home in round 13.
Buninyong's strong percentage of 143.91 should hold it in a good position to jump up the ladder if it can win three or four of these games and other results fall their way.
The Bombers are good enough to go 4-0 and make the top four race very interesting. They should, at the very least, split these four games and make the finals once again.
Run home: Daylesford (a), Carngham-Linton (a), Waubra (a), Skipton (h).
SPRINGBANK
6 wins, 4 losses, 60.00 per cent games won
Missed a clash against Carngham-Linton in round 13.
The in-form team of the competition and best side since the return to play from the previous snap lockdown.
Daylesford proved the Tigers are beatable, however, so both a top four placing or eighth placed finish wouldn't be surprising.
If Springbank picks up three straight wins heading into the bye, look out for it as a genuine premiership threat.
Run home: Waubra (a), Skipton (h), Bungaree (a), bye.
NEWLYN
5 wins, 4 losses, 55.56 per cent games won
Missed a clash against Daylesford at home in round 13.
With Adam and Myles Sewell expected to be back when play returns and Marcus Darmody hoping to return before the end of the season, the Cats could make a late push at the eight.
They will need to make up percentage, trailing Waubra and Buninyong by 27.12 and 27.06 per cent respectively, and Springbank by 8.86 per cent.
Overall, wins are what the Cats need and they stand every chance of winning four straight to finish the season.
Run home: Carngham-Linton (a), Waubra (h), Skipton (a), Bungaree (h).
CLUNES
5 wins, 4 losses, 55.56 per cent games won
Missed a clash against Gordon in round 13.
Clunes face the toughest run home in the competition. It's best has challenged and beaten some good sides this season, but it's worst has been bad.
Some returning injured players should help the Magpies' cause, but they need to be near perfect against the league's best to make the top eight.
Run home: Dunnstown (h), Beaufort (a), Hepburn (h), Rokewood-Corindhap (a).
BUNGAREE
5 wins, 5 losses, 50.00 per cent games won
Missed a clash against Waubra at home in round 13.
Bungaree need a lot to go right but it's done all it can in the last month, winning four straight.
The Demons stand every chance of stealing one of the last finals spots and will deserve it if they can beat the caliber of teams they have left to play.
Run home: Skipton (a), bye, Springbank (h), Newlyn (a).
LEARMONTH
3 wins, 6 losses, 33.33 per cent games won
Missed a clash against Buninyong in round 13.
Finals is a lost cause, especially considering the Lakies tough draw. They have been competitive in every game, however, so if they can do so again, they will challenge these good sides and go into 2022 with confidence.
Run home: Gordon (h), Dunnstown (h), Beaufort (h), Hepburn (a).
DAYLESFORD
2 wins, 7 losses, 1 draw, 25.00 per cent games won
Missed a clash against Newlyn in round 13.
Daylesford has led at three-quarter time in three of its last four games and lost all three, highlighting it's competitiveness but lack of finishing prowess.
The Bulldogs have a tough run home, but are due for some wins.
Run home: Buninyong (h), Gordon (a), Dunnstown (h), Beaufort (a).
CRESWICK
2 wins, 8 losses, 20.00 per cent games won
Missed a clash against Beaufort in round 13.
A tough run home against some of the competition's best sides, but Creswick will be aiming for win over Ballan in round 17 to finish the season strongly.
Run home: Hepburn (h), Rokewood-Corindhap (a), bye, Ballan (h).
BEAUFORT
1 win, 8 losses, 11.11 per cent games won
Missed a clash against Creswick in round 13.
More winnable games to come for the Crows, who could claim one or two to finish the season strong if they can play at a high level.
Run home: Ballan (a), Clunes (h), Learmonth (a), Daylesford (h).
BALLAN
1 win, 8 losses, 11.11 per cent games won
Missed a clash against Dunnstown in round 13.
A tough stretch for Ballan against two current top four sides, especially considering it's coming off a 262-point loss to Gordon.
The Blues do have a winnable game against Creswick in round 17, however.
Run home: Beaufort (h), Hepburn (a), Rokewood-Corindhap (h), Creswick (a).
CARNGHAM-LINTON
0 wins, 9 losses, 0.00 per cent games won
Missed a tough clash against Springbank in round 13. Tough run for Carngham-Linton, facing two of the current top four sides to finish the season.
Run home: Newlyn (h), Buninyong (h), Gordon (h), Dunnstown (a).
