He and the club agreed on him staying on as coach in 2022, with the option of a contract for the 2023 season. Scoble is eager for the task.
"I'm excited, I'm looking forward to the challenge, we know where we're at as a playing group and we know that we've got a lot of work to do," he told The Courier.
"I'm excited to dig my heels in and give it a red-hot crack and hopefully we can start getting some success."
Despite Carngham-Linton going winless through its first nine games of 2021, Scoble believes there is success on the horizon.
"They're a good bunch. We've just been very unfortunate, we've been hit with injury too," he said.
"You've got your top end (teams) that's elite and obviously we're striving to be that, but you realise it's not going to come overnight.
"We're not naive to the fact that we need to get a couple more a-graders in to keep bringing these boys on.
"With the injuries that we've had and the guys that have been sidelined it's been exciting to give these younger kids a go too and a taste at senior level."
Club president Greg Spratling said Scoble is the right man to lead the current crop of Saints players.
"When we first spoke to him we knew that he was in for the ride," he said.
"The respect that he's got from the players is massive. I haven't heard anybody speak against him, they're all full of praise."
Spratling praised Scoble's commitment to the club, putting in extra effort despite living in Daylesford.
He said Scoble turns up at the start of the under 18's every week to support the juniors and umpires the under 12's or 15's other weeks.
"I know the club would love to get him some success, he's just so passionate about his footy, he's a thinker," Spratling said.
