Police are continuing to investigate following a collision involving an allegedly stolen car that took place in Miners Rest on Friday morning.

A collision took place between two cars, an allegedly stolen white Mercedes-Benz sedan and a grey Nissan Patrol, just before 10am Friday at the southern end of the Howe Street service road.
The male driver of the Mercedes ran from the scene and was spotted by a passer-by in nearby Coventry Street shortly thereafter.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Multiple police units were driving through Miners Rest for a number of hours looking for the man while the dog squad was also on the scene to aid in the search but he was unable to be located.
The driver of the Nissan Patrol, a 38-year-old Wendouree man, was uninjured in the collision.
The Courier spotted multiple police driving driving around the suburb in mostly marked police cars.
Police searched the MacArthur Park housing estate area for a number of hours, but no roadblocks or traffic management measures were put in place.
One witness from Miners Rest told The Courier they saw police jumping fences.
