It was tight, tense affair for the full four quarters but the Boomers, behind Patty Mills' brilliance, pulled out the win 107-93.

Mills did it all, finishing the game with 42 points, three rebounds and nine assists.
Sobey enjoyed just over two minutes on the court and managed a rebound and an assist.
After finishing fourth at four Olympics (1988, 1996, 2000 and 2016), the podium has been a long time coming for the Boomers and Goorjian, who led the Boomers in the 2004 and 2008 Olympics.
Australia started hot, racing out to a 9-2 lead, its defence forcing Slovenia into some early turnovers and poor offensive possessions.
This trend ended quickly, however, Slovenia dominating the second-half of the opening term to go into the first break down just one point.
There was no clear air for the next three quarters, Australia able to break away to a lead over 10 points multiple times throughout the second-half, which Slovenia continued to fight back from.
The Boomers held their nerve, however, able to stem every momentum shift in Slovenia's favour and win each quarter.
Mills was the difference offensively but the Boomers' defence, which has held them in great stead throughout the Games, was on show again for much of the game.
While Slovenian superstar Luka Doncic still finished with 22 points, eight rebounds and seven assists, they made life hard for the 22-year-old with some physical defence, a contributor to his 3-13 shooting from the three-point line.
His seven assists was also his equal second lowest for the Games. Doncic's play making is such a dangerous aspect of his game so it was vital for the Boomers to nullify his impact in that area, which paid off with a win.
