The CHFL and CHNL grand finals have been played at the venue for 19 of the past 20 years.
The CHFL took its marquee day to Mars Stadium in 2000 and the only exception in the two decades since has been 2016 when it was played at Alfredton.
CHFL president Doug Hobson told The Courier if crowds were significantly capped or completely locked out as they would again be for Saturday's home and away round, it would not be financially viable to hold the day at the AFL venue.

"We'd prefer to play there, but if we can't have an unrestricted crowd, we'll have to discuss seriously with the board about moving it to somewhere where we're going to be more financially viable," Hobson said.
The Ballarat Football Netball League has confirmed that it will not switch its senior men's football and netball, women's football or junior grand final days from Mars Stadium even if crowd restrictions are in place.
"We're pretty firm in this view that the premier competition will be played on the premier venue in Ballarat," BFNL operations manager Shane Anwyl said.
"We support (Ballarat City) council in particular because they also want to see the main games played on at the stadium."
The CHFL and CHNL resume on Saturday without crowds.
