The move is a result of the Melton track being declared a COVID-19 tier 2 hot spot after a participant at a race meeting at the venue on Monday, August 2, had subsequently tested positive to COVID.
Ballarat and District Trotting Club chief executive officer Paul Rowse said the meeting would be run under strict industry protocols set down by HRV.
HRV has informed all participants and staff who attended the August 2 meeting that they must be tested and complete a reporting form for HRV on receiving a test result before they will be permitted to attend any race meetings.
Saturday night's meeting features two group 3 races as part of a 10-event card.
Crowds are not permitted under exisiting state government COVID-19 restrictions.
Charlton and Geelong meetings were cancelled on Thursday.
