The league had hoped to host its junior, senior and BFLW award nights throughout August and early September, but will now wait to reschedule the grand events.
All awards nights will be held as soon as possible, with the BFNL working with its media partners to livestream the events.
IN OTHER NEWS:
BFNL general manager Shane Anywl said it would have become too complicated to try and host an event the size of their awards nights in the current climate.
"There's the lead time you need with book venues and all that uncertainty. We just don't think there is going to be a venue," he told The Courier.
Anwyl said there was also no certainty about venues' capacity limits going forward as well.
"It's not worth doing it for 50 people, because then you've only got two people from each club," he said.
"We're in the middle of piecing together the mechanics of how it will work on the night and what the dates will be but the intention is to do them online because there is no reason why they can't be done."
