Polkinghorne led the voting for most of the season but briefly relinquished top spot to East Point co-captain Matthew Johnston, who finished second with 25 votes.

Johnston had a strong second half of the year, picking up 20 votes from the final six rounds of the season.

Melton's Jack Walker rounded out the minor placings, to go alongside his runner-up finish in the Henderson Medal count.

The onballer didn't poll in only four games to finish with 23 votes.

Melton was one of the best-represented clubs on the leaderboard.

Bloods captain Braedan Kight finish equal fifth with 16 votes, only one ahead of teammate Bailey Mawson in equal sixth.
