Cricketers will join other sporting codes in a return to training as Ballarat realigns with regional Victoria restrictions.
Community sport in the muncipality was unable to undertake training during the lockdown.
How community sport stands in regional Victoria under roadmap:
- Outside only, training only
- Minimum number required for the sport, no spectators
- Community recreation facilities: outdoors only, 20 people per facility
- Caps do not apply if 50 metres distance can be maintained between groups outdoors (eg golf)
The roadmap does not give community sport competition a green light until at least Friday, November 5, when it is expected that 80 per cent of the population aged 16 years and older have been fully vaccinated with two doses of the COVID-19 vaccination.
