Speaking to reporters on Sunday morning, state testing commander Jeroen Weimar said there were 52 regional cases recorded in the past 24 hours, with four in Ballarat, and four in Ararat.
The Ararat cases are linked to the meatworks industry.
There is no further information on the Ballarat cases at this time.
Mr Weimar also encouraged people in Bacchus Marsh to get tested, with a new site opening on Sunday morning at the public hall at 207 Main Street from 10am, and will be open from 9am Monday.
Other testing sites are available in Melton, Ballarat, and Daylesford.
"Generally, the regional picture looks reasonably stable," Mr Weimar said.

Victoria has recorded 1220 new cases of COVID-19 and three deaths.
It comes after a record high number was announced on Saturday, at 1488 cases.
The new cases announced today were detected from 71,275 test results, which was a record day of testing in the state.
There is now 11,785 active cases.
More information on the new cases and deaths will be released later on Sunday.

A total of 36,248 vaccine doses were administered at state-run sites on Saturday, with 300 appointments Ballarat Health Services also announced as available in the morning quickly snapped up.
The health service said there were another 300 extra appointments available on Sunday at the Mercure vaccination clinic.
It comes after an announcement all Victorian authorised workers must have their first vaccine dose by October 15 and a second by November 26 to keep working on site, as part of a new statewide mandate.
The requirement will cover retail workers, personal trainers, MPs, journalists, faith leaders, judges, police, lawyers, actors and professional sportspeople.
Moorabool Shire continues to endure a snap lockdown which came into effect at 11.59pm on Friday.
Greater Shepparton was also plunged back into lockdown.
There are currently 13 active COVID cases in Ballarat and 32 in Moorabool, with numbers last updated 12pm on Saturday.

A new walk-up testing site will open on Sunday morning in Bacchus Marsh.
Testing will be available from the Bacchus Marsh Public Hall, 207 Main Street, between 10am and 5pm on Sunday, and 9am and 5pm on Monday.
Parking is available at the rear of the hall.
Testing sites are also open at Ballarat, Melton, and Daylesford, including drive-through testing.
It is not yet known if a testing site will open in Ballan.

No detections have been made in wastewater for the last couple of days in Ballarat.
Some Victorian school students prepare to return to school tomorrow in regional Victoria, but Moorabool schools are locked out of the plan amid the snap lockdown.
But students living in Moorabool or metropolitan Melbourne who go to school in Ballarat will be able to attend school according to the regional schools return plan.
Preps, ones and twos and year 12 students return full time on Monday in non-locked down areas of regional Victoria .
Other year levels resume part time from week two of term before all students are back full time from October 26.
Meanwhile, Melbourne prepares to claim the unwanted title of the world's most locked down city.
Melbourne has racked up 245 days in lockdown since the pandemic began.
That draws the city level with Buenos Aires, which has also spent 245 days under stay-at-home orders.

Melbourne will surpass the mark set by the Argentinian city on Monday.
It comes with news a contracted service provider at Melbourne Immigration Transit Accommodation in Broadmeadows was among the record 1488 new local cases in Victoria announced on Saturday.
Contact tracing, quarantining, testing and deep cleaning is underway at the facility, which as of June housed 239 people.
It is unclear how many of them have been vaccinated.
More than 100 people were arrested and fined on Saturday when anti-vaccine protesters again took to the streets of Melbourne, a day after the state government announced a vaccination mandate for all Victorian authorised workers.
Treasurer Tim Pallas also announced $196.6 million in cash grants for 70,000 businesses in Melbourne, Geelong and Mitchell impacted by the construction shutdown from September 21 to October 4.
The industry has been closed for two weeks due to concern over rising case numbers, transmission and poor compliance at building sites but will reopen on Tuesday with strict conditions.
