A Maryborough man charged over an alleged bomb threat at a University in Ballarat's CBD has faced court.
Jarrod Kervarec, 35, appeared in the Ballarat Magistrates' Court on Wednesday charged with making a bomb hoax, threatening to damage property and threats to kill after an incident at Federation University's SMB campus last Thursday afternoon.
He has been remanded in custody to reappear on Thursday.

A Maryborough man has been charged after over an alleged bomb threat at the Federation University SMB campus.
Detectives from the Ballarat Criminal Investigation Unit arrested the 35 year-old in Maryborough on Tuesday, following the incident last Thursday afternoon.
A large number of police, some heavily armed, swarmed the campus on Grant Street and blocked off surrounding roads.
Some police were seen carrying large guns and wearing bulletproof vests as they filed up a staircase and into a building while shocked staff and students were still inside.
It was later confirmed officers responded to reports a man had allegedly made a "verbal threat".
Police allege the man told staff he was armed with explosives about 12.20pm that day.
He has been charged with making a bomb hoax, threatening to damage property and threats to kill.
He was remanded in custody to appear at the Ballarat Magistrates' Court later today.
