It's hard to keep a good side down and reigning premiers Darley proved it, shaking off one of its "worst performances in years" to go through a crucial weekend undefeated and survive a grand final re-match.

First came a flowing seven-wicket win against Mt Clear on Saturday.
Asked to bowl, it looked like it was going to be a challenging day for the Lions, despite snaring the cheap early wicket of Mounties' skipper Jacob Smith.
Matt Goonan (50) and Tom Le Lievre (32) combined for a 71-run second-wicket partnership, before the latter departed at 2-90, triggering a middle-order collapse.
The next four wickets would fall for just 16 runs, as the hosts seized the momentum.
All-rounder Dilan Chaminda (3-20) was the pick of the Lions' bowlers, before quick Madushanka Ekanyaka (2-20) returned to clean up the tail.
Chasing 129 there were many ways Darley could approach its innings.
For Danza Hyatt and Chandima it was clear - get it done quickly.
The openers combined for 40 runs in the first five overs, before Chandima eventually departed for 27.
Hyatt continued the assault, hitting four sixes and nine fours in an unbeaten 76 that saw his side home in the 18th over.
Billed as the one of the season's best games was Sunday's grand final re-match against Golden Point.
The Pointies were rolled by North Ballarat for 51 the day before. Captain Andrew Warrick, batting force Joshua White and coach Daniel McDonald were all missing.
If Darley didn't already have the advantage, openers Dilan Chandima and Danza Hyatt soon made sure the hosts were in pole position.
The pair combined for a 109-run opening stand, as Hyatt reached his second half-century of the weekend before eventually falling for 63.
It wouldn't take long for Chandima to find a new pillar. Hasitha Wickramasignhe (57) stepped forward to post a classy half-century as Darley put a make-shift Golden Point attack to the sword.
Lower-order contributions were welcome but it was Chandima who drove the hosts home. The Lions' recruit finished unbeaten on 109, taking his season tally to 364, to help his side post 5-261.
With a required run rate of 5.2, Golden Point's chase always needed a strong start and stand-in skipper Josh Pegg took it upon himself.
Pegg weathered the early loss of his opening partner to form a vital partnership with Lachlan Herring.
When his skipper departed for 50, Herring took the mantle.
Herring and Manny de Zoysa (50) combined for a 112-run partnership that bred nerves in the Darley camp.
When Herring (83) was dismissed at 3-190, there was still hope for the Pointies.
Enter Danza Hyatt.
The Lions' all-rounder took the next four wickets, while his teammates cleaned up the tail. 3-190 became 10-229. The result keeps Darley second, one win behind Wendouree.
