Midlands has announced itself as the team to beat in the Ballarat Highlands Bowls Region Tuesday Pennant premier competition with a 26-shot win over City Oval.

Two rink wins by 12 and 13 shots respectively set the tone for Midlands, while a one-shot win in the other helped the side claim 16 points.

Victoria managed a tight five-shot win over BMS, enough to lift it into second-place on the ladder.
Despite BMS' rink skippered by Robert Dickinson claiming a 10-shot win, Victoria's rink skippered by Noel Verinden went one better with a 31-16 victory to give Victoria the overall win.
Webbcona climbed into fifth position on the table with a 24-shot win over Buninyong.
Two rinks were separated by two shots each, Webbcona prevailing in both. The rink skippered by Jennifer Shepherd put the game beyond doubt, winners 31-11.
Importantly, Webbcona claimed 16 points, keeping the gap between it and fourth-placed Central Wendouree at 17 points.
Creswick joined Webbcona on 75 points thanks to a 22-shot win over Sebastopol.
The rink skippered by Alan Annear was dominant, 21-7.
Central Wendouree rounded out the winners with a 36-shot victory over Clunes.
