NEW CASES: 10 (down from 15 yesterday)
ACTIVE CASES: 89 (down from 92 yesterday)
Ballarat has recorded ten new cases of COVID in the 24 hours to midnight Wednesday, a drop on record numbers released yesterday.
The number of active cases in the city is now at 89, down from 92 yesterday.
Eight of the new cases are listed in the 3350 postcode, while 3355 and 3356 have had one new case each.
The Moorabool Shire has reported a sharp increase in new cases, recording 18 today.
There are now 68 active cases in the local government area.
The Hepburn Shire has reported six new cases, while the Golden Plains Shire has recorded two new infections.
There has also been one new cases recorded in the Pyrenees Shire.

IN HOSPITAL: 395 (down from 397 yesterday)
IN ICU: 55 (down from 62 yesterday)
ON VENTILATOR: 23 (down from 28 yesterday)
Victoria's COVID-19 cases have again jumped, with 5137 new infections recorded and 13 deaths, in another pandemic record for the state.
The number of active cases has grown to 23,833 and 81,093 people were tested in the latest 24-hour period.
On Wednesday the state recorded 3767 new cases and had 19,994 active cases.
There are 55 people actively infectious with the virus in intensive care.
There are 395 in hospital and the seven-day average sits at 378.
However, there are fewer people on ventilators - 23 on Thursday, down from 28 on Wednesday and 33 on Tuesday.
Ballarat broke its record for the number of new COVID-19 cases yesterday with 15 new infections reported in the 24 hours to midnight Tuesday.
Ten new cases were reported in the 3350 postcode, while the 3355 area reported three new cases.
There were also two cases listed in the 3356 area and one new case in 3352.
New South Wales has again broken its COVID case record, reporting 12,226 new infections on Thursday.
However only one person has died in the latest reporting period.
