Police have charged a woman over a crash in regional Victoria that killed a five-year-old girl and an unborn baby. The 26-year-old woman from Shepparton in the state's north was driving a silver Toyota LandCruiser on October 20 when it collided with a black Ford Territory and a white Toyota LandCruiser at an intersection about 2pm. The woman was hospitalised with serious injuries while her passenger, a five-year-old girl, died at the scene. A 32-year-old pregnant woman who was driving the Ford also sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to hospital, where her unborn baby later died. A 33-year-old Shepparton man driving the white Toyota and his passenger, a 22-year-old Katandra West man, escaped serious injury. They were taken to hospital for observation. Major collision investigation unit detectives on Wednesday charged the 26-year-old Shepparton woman with offences including dangerous driving causing death and driving causing serious injury.
