Couch is again struggling with a knee problem, while Kiel has broken ribs and is expected to miss two weeks.
It is not the first time Couch has had knee trouble in the latter part of the season.
Kiel has become a regular for the Selkirk Roosters in the past two seasons, playing in 14 of their 15 games.
North Ballarat is also set to lose Kangaroos star Daniel Wells after
just the one match back after a long-term foot injury.
Although named on an extended interchange by North Melbourne, he is almost certain to return as the Kangaroos prepare for a finals campaign.
Aaron Mullett does not look like being quite so lucky.
The dashing half-back has been in and out of the Kangaroos’ line-up of late and is again a big chance of finding himself in the black and white of the Roosters.
Key forward Aaron Black, who has also been struggling for form in the AFL, is like Mullett in being on both extended interchanges for North Melbourne and North Ballarat.
The Kangaroos will finalise their line-up for Sunday’s battle with Western Bulldogs on Friday.
Coleman Schache and Chris Giampaolo have regained their spots with the Roosters after being squeezed out a week ago.
Rowan Marshall returns to the North Ballarat Rebels in the TAC Cup under-18 competition after one match as 23rd man.
He is not being replaced as the fifth person on interchange.
Sixth-placed North Ballarat is playing to secure a finals berth and will be fully tested against the stand-alone Seagulls (third), which are on a six-game winning streak.
