A BALLARAT woman has woken to a nightmare scenario when she was indecently assaulted after waking to an intruder in her bedroom.
The hunt is on for the prowler who indecently assaulted the 23-year-old woman in her home before jumping off her balcony and running away.
Ballarat Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Investigation Team investigators have been told a woman was asleep in a bedroom of her Raglan Street home when she awoke to discover an intruder in the room around 5am.

Firies attended a smoking BBQ in Redan at 9pm and a false alarm at Stockland Wendouree early this morning in what was otherwise a quiet night, according to Ballarat City Fire Brigade senior station officer Mark Owen.

A BALLARAT two-year-old has died after a single car accident in Clay Wells, South Australia about 11pm on Monday.
The toddler died in the Mount Gambier Hospital after a Hyundai SUV left the road on the corner of Clay Wells Road and the Princes Highway and crashed into an embankment.
The 24-year-old female driver and her 40-year female passenger, both also from Ballarat, were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
